Here I am , A Tribute to my Great Nephew Jayden

Over the last 9 months I have had the honors of of becoming a Great-Aunt for the 3rd time. Keep in mind I am not that old. This whimsical little article came to me as my niece has a week to ago before giving birth to her first son. I came up with this as I had listened to my niece and her comments and I am writing it from my new little nephew's point of view. As I can only imagine what he is saying in there. I hope it brings joy and laughter to you as although some of us may have gone through hard times giving birth and or never had gotten the chance, we certainly know when it comes to having children, those babies I am certain have something to say so maybe we should listen.

Month 1: Mommy doesn't feel very good and she is yet to figure out that I am in here, she told Daddy that she thinks she has the flu. Flu my tiny little butt or do I have a butt? I am in here ,"My God " it is hot in here I can't wait until I can get some fresh air.

Month 2: Mommy hasn't got it yet, but she told Daddy that she needs to get an E.P.T. test. Good Grief !!! If you skip something what does that mean? Last month you thought you had the flu. this month you are concerned? "" I am in here","I am in here", "yes I am" ,"yes I am", better not sing to loud she may think she is hearing things. I certainly don't want her to think she is crazy that's all I would need.

Month 3: Mommy made an appointment today and she told Daddy that even though the E.P.T. came back positive , she thinks it was wrong as she has skipped before. it isn't wrong , " I am in here", "I am in here", "Yes I am", "Yes I am," I think she heard me as the conversation went silent. I hear many voices so I believe that we are at the Doctor's office let me listen." Yup, we are and guess what she knows I am in here!!!" She isn't saying anything ,"what's wrong Mommy?" ", Are you there?" " I hear her now she is laughing she sounds excited !! " I am excited too", "but being in here for so long is Borrrring, I think I will take a nap as I feel like I am growing".

Month 4: Wee!!! I am doing flips , I better stop doing that as mommy is getting very sick. I don't know if she knows it yet but I am the one making her tummy feel a little bad. "I am sorry Mommy", " I will behave I am just bored in here". "MMMM, what is this?" It looks like something is attached? " "There are a lot of these, I wonder what they are?" "Oh well I will try one as it tastes pretty good."

Month 5: I am getting a little chunky, what is Mommy eating , McDonald's? I don't care much for the burger it is to greasy for me, but I guess if mom likes it then that is o.k. "Aahhh, I need to stretch a little , it is getting a little snug in here."I am in here", "I am in here", "yes I am", "yes I am ", this is exciting I am growing. Yup, I have fingers,toes, eyes and a nose. I am certainly adorable !!!

Month 6: Mommy says I keep her up all night, what is night? It is so dark in here, I don't have any idea what the difference is. I think mom complains to much , what is a little person like me supposed to do? Can someone explain the difference?

Month 7: When am I going to get out of here? I am getting bigger and bigger , mom says she can't take much more as here feet are swollen the size of grapefruit."What is grapefruit? "Have I tasted those?" I have been trying to get out a lot lately , do you think if I keep pushing they will let me get out of here?

Month 8: Well I am still here , I heard Mommy and Daddy talking today , Daddy says Mommy looks beautiful, she told Daddy she looks as big as a house. "What is a house?" I am excited about geting out of here as I know I am going to see a lot of nice things. I can't wait to see my Mommy's face, "I wonder what she looks like?" She said when she looks in the mirror ,her face is round. I wonder why I can't have one of those things in here, (a mirror). maybe then I would have something to do.

Month 9: I am coming, I am coming, yes I am, yes I am, I am stuck upside down it isn't very comfortable and I heard Mommy say that too. Can you believe it , it isn't going to be dark in here anymore. My mommy gave me a name, it is "Jayden Vincent ", yup I have a very good name, don't you think? Well I had better go now as "I 'm out of here , "yes I am,"yes,I am" .
