If You Had One Chance To Change The World

Making Changes
One chance to change the world, as this is a self realization that this could never be feasible but if I had one chance to change the world, I would stomp out racism it does not matter what color, race, or creed you are everyone needs too be treated equal not only at work and earning the same pay,but looked at as actual human beings who do not have any color, ethnicity or colorful background.
Hate is an ugly word that spreads like cancer and to overcome it you have to work at it diligently as incompetency and ignorance is simply not acceptable. I realize that it may not be our generation who conquers this issue, however I certainly hope that sometime in the future that there is peace among people as we all conceive the same way, think , breathe, and eat nobody is different. Our blood runs blue through our veins and when we are cut it turns red. Although your skin is lighter or darker does not make you different from the neighbor next door. If your sexual preferences are not what people expect them to be, does not mean you have the plague and others should turn the other cheek. Our religious values we should all look at with open minds as I personally have friends that are not only Christians they are Atheist, Islamic, Buddhist, and Hindu and I do not discuss my beliefs with them nor do they discuss there beliefs with me as all of us have one thing in common we are human and we are just everyday people. So the answer to your question is , If I had one chance to change the world what would it be? It would be RACISM.
What would you do if you had the chance to change the world for a day? What would you end? What would be on your agenda? Your comments no matter how short or long are always welcome.

Interesting points.
Although many do not agree with me, God is still in control. Not that God approves of the wrong. God gave each of us a free will to choose. We can choose to be prejudice. We can hate the red, yellow, black, white and any or everybody else. We can choose to hate those who disagree with our political or religious positions. We can choose to ignore God and His Word. God will set things right in His good time, He is Almighty. ~ eddie
I totally agree with you here. People are people. It does not matter what the color of your skin is or your sexual preference. Certain people are just full of anger and they pick something to direct that anger at.
I do not care about the color of your skin or who you sleep with, what matters is what is in your heart. The world, unfortunately, is still full of people that have a black heart and are saturated in what I can term as nothing more than 'pure evil'.
It is too bad, that it will always be that way, but I thank God for the people who have hearts of gold such as you. Keep spreading your wonderful contributions. We need all we can get.
I'd certainly eradicate poverty if i could. I've seen things changing with the music of coins. Poverty is the worst disadvantage a human being can have.
Jesus said that the two greatest commandments are, "Love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul and mind." and "Love your neighbor as yourself. " Then, when pressed to define "neighbor" he told the anti-racisim story of the good Samaraten.
I would not make a "huge sweeping" change the world, because I have found that God works even through the "bad things" to draw us closer to Himself. I would say this. If I could show more people what it meant to love God and love each other, and help them understand what that really means, then the world would, in fact, change for the better.
Since the work of the devil is to "Steal, Kill and Destroy", where I see loss, death and destruction, I know that it is God's will to bring restoration, life and creation.
So, to change the world, I pray, "On Earth as it is in Heaven" and operate as a citizen of heaven on earth, and encourage my fellow citizens of heaven to do the same.
As a dad with a multi-racial family, I believe adopting across cultures is a positive step!
nice hubs the human will be peace without racism.

Since the civil rights act was passed, I believe that racism has definitely been marginalized. Affirmative action has helped many fulfill their dreams, when before those dreams were closed. However, when it comes to sexism, I think that is still quite prevalent and far from being curbed, when Obama supporters can freely wear tee shirts saying "Sarah is a c**t and place that image on barackobama.com It is also disturbing when a brainless loser of a comedian like Sarah Bernhardt challenges Gov. Palin to come to Manhattan to get gang raped. These are the disgusting things that I would like to see disappear from our landscape.
