E-Pals Needed In Iraq And Afghanistan
During WWII and the Korean War Americans were so proud of there military they would write total strangers a letter at least once a week, letting them know that all was well on the home front and supporting there efforts for putting themselves on the front lines to protect there Country. Time has moved rapidly years have progressed and somehow our soldiers have been pushed to the wayside like a child throwing away a rag doll stuffed into a corner and forgotten. All of us move around doing our day-to-day activities and for many the men and women that are a part of the United States Of America are standing on the front lines fighting Al-Qaeda and terrorists to keep our Country Free.
Remember 09/11? All of us came together embraced one another and asked ourselves why? Our men and women regardless if they wish to go to Iraq or Afghanistan or any other part of the World have taken a vow to support and defend the Constitiution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic so why is it that we are to busy to write an e-mail to a soldier letting them know we are thinking of them and hope that they come home soon? Every soldier needs a friend it does not matter what religion they are or what race they are our men and women of the United Stated of America and they still need continual support while they are fighting a war. All of us need to get our patronage back, quit sniveling and back our soldiers!
We on hubpages have a soldier Sgt. Wesley Cox who has written a few great hubs, the story that captured me was called " I Am A Superhero", he writes about why he believes he is a superhero, it is a touching hub and brought me to tears when I read it. He is currently in Iraq fighting the War against terrorism and many of our soldiers need pen pals and e-pals, people who are committed to letting them know how things are going in the United States and supporting them while they serve there term of duty in a War that has lasted for many far to long. Many have families in the United States however they would enjoy hearing from others who can support them and give them the continual strength they need to fight this War against terrorism. If you are patriotic and you enjoy your freedom or if you have always wanted to become a e-pal or pen pal of a soldier, please contact Wesley Cox and ask him how you could become involved, he will provide you with men and women who would love to hear from others who are committed to being a friend and supporting them while they are away.
Please do not forget them as they are certainly not forgetting about us, make them feel proud that they have taken that oath for a reason, do not turn your back they need our support. Let us do what our forefathers did, let us again remind ourselves that we are Americans, we are proud, we are free! Remember there are Dads.Moms, Sisters, Brothers, Sons and Daughters who just like us want to be home.

Good hub dear. I may be anti-war but I do like to support our armed forces and I do value them and thank them for my liberty too. I discovered Wesley also and he is a Superhero.

Thank you for reminding all of us. I am a combat veteran from the Gulf War 90/91. My memories of the pen pals, groups of school kids who wrote and I wrote back to. Home made cookies and the list goes on endlessly. I visited each and every one when I returned.
What a blessing it was to me then and as I do the same for others now. With this hub as a reminder, everyone gets the opportunity to share with those who are putting it all on the front line everyday.

Glad that you have brought up such a nice point forward. we never seem to care for them unless we fear our security. The safe society that we are living in is all because of the risk they take on their lives. I am Indian but the same stands true for our brave soldiers too who are guarding our borders making sure that whole country is in peace.

I am female and first I would like to thank you for this site. I am trying to find a way to find a penpal in the armed services to write to and keep company and send care packages to while he serves. I would like to write to an active soldier who is lonely and fighting overseas. What is going on? I know but dont nobody want to know. If this Bin Laden had anything to with 9/11, why is it so hard to find him? I bet money that if I had a massacre done then you guys would be at my doorstep in minutes. I really think that our goverment is a bag of bullshit and you need to start telling your citizens the truth and nothing but. What was the deal with killing Saddam what he didnt tell yall where Bin Laden was. This is what keeps me up at night. I dont understand and then again I do. You guys are the sneaky type. Our military is not sneaky, the have a job to do and it is to protect the Americans in our Country, but again watch the video you may find answers in there and you can't blame it on our military.

First of all, let me say that I am proud to be the first to leave a comment on this wonderful Hub you have created. Great Job! Second; you are right, many American's have forgotten our soldiers--and that's a damn shame. I, personally, have many friends and family members currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and they would be heart warmed to know of your wonderful words about them. In fact, they'll be learning of your words real soon, for I'll be sending this to them.
