Sometimes we say things we really do not mean
not intentionally or on purpose to cause any sorrow or pain.
Sometimes we express what we feel,
Sometimes our thoughts can be all over the page,
Sometimes we are just looking for others to listen,
Sometimes we are looking for others to read,
Sometimes people expect us to be happy all of the time,
and when we are sad or emotional showing anger or pain,
they will attack without asking about your pouring rain,
Sometimes we just need to reflect on what we did
misunderstood were we acting like a kid?
Sometimes it pays to just sit back and observe,
so when there is a comment it does not sound like
a blurb,
Sometimes there are those very important people who
make you realize that it is o.k. to feel all of those emotions
bottled up inside and they are the ones that are always
at your side,
Sometimes once all of the pressure is released,
Take time to listen, Take time to read, but most
of all try not to feed.
When people lash out, when people are in pain,
they wish to only have someone pay attention,
and make certain there sane.
Name calling, screaming, bashing someone down,
will not help the person whose insides are turned
upside down.
Nobody walks in each others shoes but sometimes
a virtual friend is better to choose.
When the rain is over and the sunshine rises,
You finally return back to normal, well sometimes.

So much to gain from this poem, and how often we forget to listen or acknowledge what has been said. Sometimes it is just the need to lend an ear, an act of love that you understand and feel also. As you listen or read, you will be clensed as well. Loved it!!

It reminds me of God's unconditional love for us. He looks beyond our SOMETIMES outlandish behavior to meet our deepest needs.

Sometimes you just have to rant, to let out the conflicting thoughts and emotions. Once out on the table, as in a jigsaw puzzle, they can be pushed around and formed into the picture of your true opinion and feeling.
Don’t let others steal any of the pieces, for then it would not be your picture.

I have never been much of a poetry reader, just the facts kinda girl you know. But I have learned here at HP that you can see into someone's personality who writes poetry they put just a little bit of their soul into writing the poem.

Well done, AE... I enjoyed this poem journey of trying to at least...walk in other peoples footsteps...even if it is in cyberspace. jayb23: Considering all I have came a long way since mom's passing and my uncle's not including our dog. But I certainly have a long way to go. Getting back to writing is something needed so that I can focus on other things. I am glad to see you are also still here. :)

We are responsible for our words, thoughts and actions. So, it is important that we think before we speak. Once said it cannot be taken back. So the technique I use when I get angry and know that I may speak something I regret later is closing my eyes and counting up to ten. And I can say that it calms me down. But I have to admit that I am quite blunt when I express my opinion. What I think I say. Sugarcoating has never been my habit so though my opinion is honest, many people take offense. Good Poem! Voted up and Sharing!
