Finally I found the method of figuring out the answer to question number 15.
"Lisa Presley, Mickey Rooney and Tuesday Weld are all the same height, how tall are they?"
You get each one of them to stand on top of the head of the other and measure the distance from the bottom to the top. Now multiply the result by Plank's constant, and before ten seconds elapses, divide it by Plank's constant and finally divide the answer by 3. Then you get the height of Lisa Presley.
The next step is to get Mickey Rooney and Tuesday Weld to stand on top of each other and measure the distance from the top to the bottom. From the result you subtract Lisa's height. The result would be Tuesday Weld's height.
The final step would be to get Mickey Rooney's height, all you need to do is multiply Tuesday Weld's height by 3, then add Lisa Presley's height to the answer and divide the whole thing by 4. So, that's the way it has to be done.
The great thing about this method is that you need to use Plank's constant only once!
Phew! That was real hard work! :)
Thanks. Just drop me a line if you have any similar mathematical problems to solve. I would be glad to oblige ... although my brain still hurts like hell.
Gravity? Never experienced it before. What does it look like?
:)
I always enjoyed Trivial Pursuit, AEvans, in fact I think I may still have some of the trivial cards around with all the questions on them. I have a system. I answer the questions I know and ignore the ones I don't know. But you need a trivial question about Bing Crosby. Here's two: What does Bing often have in his mouth, and what is it that he likes to jingle in his pocket?
"One of two ain't bad," AEvans. Bing Crosby was commonly seen smoking a pipe. In fact the statue of him at Gonzaga University has him with a pipe in his mouth, but the pranksters steal it so often it's taken in at night to foil them. It's not commonly known, but Bing loved to jingle the coins in his pocket, and one Bing fan reported he could even hear him doing it on one of his more than 2,000 recordings.
Bing recorded "Pistol Packin' Mama" with the Andrews Sisters in 1943, AEvans, which I remember well. But I'm not sure if I remember him singing it with Mae West, although I probably did. It must have been taken from one of his radio or TV shows and recorded on that 45 RPM. It's a great song! I'm not big on Gene Kelly (he's OK) but I like Fred and Ginger (I just read gunsock's hub on Ginger yesterday.)
Hmmm I don't think I know much; need a lot of time to google all this, maybe I'll just visit this often for some new answers..haha lazy me!
Oh that's good. I'll be looking forward for that! =)
Good hub!
First, this was hard, had to print out and actually look up some of the answers but Iearned a lot. Second, what a create hub! Very entertaining.
I could answer five of these with utter certainty, another 10 with complete uncertainty. The others got me thinking just how dumb I really am. As far as trivia. Remind me not to go on that millionaire show, or any other game show for that matter.
Love Trivial Pursuit and the Hub!!!
Our favorite game to play on family night. The one my daughter always picks out. We have the junior edition for the kids but they enjoy the adult edition too. They enjoy picking up little nuggets of trivia that they didn't know before - as do I :-)
Yaay! Trivia!
The easiest party game ever. ;)
I've an app for that..or something.
Knack, that's the word I was looking for. How long did it take to formulate these intriguing questions?
