When Its Over: The Story of Joseph And Victoria
60
'When its Over' is a story about a woman who was abandoned by her husband, when she least expected it. There struggles were common just like all married couples, but being left penniless is something that was quite unexpected. It has became an book in its entirety and the ending of the book is near. The purpose of publishing parts of the book, was to see if others would understand it, relate to it and be compassionate. Although Victoria went through stumbling blocks and could not see the direction in her life, her faith kept her grounded and focused. Her family turned there backs on Victoria and her children. She was shocked by their actions. Victoria was always a giving person with her siblings and when they needed help, she was there for them. If it was one thing her husband always told her, it was that her family would not be there for her when she need them the most.
The doors were closing all around her and she was restless often and could not sleep. She would pray, asking God to give her the strength to overcome what had been placed upon her. Electricity was being shut down, water, gas and the rent was late. She was facing eviction, nonetheless the food banks were barren. Bread and beans were common when it came to food on the table.
Victoria continued to pray day after day and would fine ways to feed her family . Her husband left her with debt and without transportation. Where Victoria resided, the bus line only ran twice a day. Once early morning and then late evening, so she was constantly on foot trying to survive. She knew God would not forsake her and she prayed. The children did not clearly understand what was going on and if she had four eggs and potatoes, she would make them. She chose not to feed herself because she had children. She finally reached out to strangers and she prayed. She was sending e-mails to strangers, although she briefly interacted with them she never really knew them. She was so ashamed to ask for help, but her she was doing it. She was at the World's mercy. Victoria felt that these people she was asking, would think she was just begging for money. They did not realize she was being sincere. There were those who would not respond and ignore the cries for help. She would stare at the computer screen and was embarrassed by what she had done. She was desperate. Some of the replies were, call your DES office and see what they can do. She would reply, " I already have and there isn't any funds. Victoria felt all of them giving advice was a blessing, because she did not share with them what she had already tried to do. There were those that also could barely feed themselves and they reached out to her. They would call to see how she was doing or send a blessing. All of this she was so grateful for. You see Victoria was always a giver and never a taker, so asking for help never ran through her veins.
God always said he would only give us as much as we can bare. She was carrying a heavy load, but she kept her faith. Victoria's prayers were finally answered one day, through a phone call. A complete stranger who reached out to her at her time of need and provided the necessary means to survive. His name? Joseph. She was shocked that this stranger would lend a helping hand. Would be there for her and her family. She could not believe what God had done. She dropped to her knees and praised God while tears flowed from her eyes. As her life began to unfold and it had gotten worse, Joseph stood by her side. He listened to her trials and told her to keep her faith. They talked on the phone about God and it gave her reassurance that God was really there for her. She was in amazed, that a complete stranger would reach out at her time of need and pay her bills without asking for anything in return.
Joseph was an Angel sent by God and all though the two never met, it was divine intervention that put them on the same path. Pretty amazing since many would think it was just shy of a miracle. There would also be those who would say it was fate. And of course there would be a handful who would think that Joseph would want more then just friendship out of the new found relationship. Victoria was so honest that for some they would doubt her word. But for others who knew her more personally, they knew her heart was always in the right place. Her kindness, being non-judgmental and love for people finally came full circle. God did sent an Angel to Victoria and his name was Joseph. There were a handful of Angels that God sent and each one of them gave her a special gift. From guidance to e-mails that simply read, " Just checking in". That was very important to Victoria considering all that she had been through.
You see Victoria is real, her children's names have been changed to protect them. Although her life had another stumbling block and she felt like Job (Joe-b), she realized how powerful, prayer was.
If you believe, rest assured God listens to your prayers and answers them in his time. Be patient, he can hear you. When you pray, give it all to him and never doubt his word. Although she is still struggling, God has been good to her. So when someone reaches out to you, don't doubt them and give it to God. You just may find that the person you are giving to, was really in need to begin with.
I hope that others who doubt will no longer doubt. Go with what God tells you to do. Listen and respond. Because of her plight, I have been working on a website that will also allow others to give one penny at a time. The money that is collected from that will be able to give to families in need. I hope there will be those who are willing to give. I hear cries for help. I see it everyday and knowing I cannot fix the World, It is my turn to become someone's Angel. So when we say to ourselves, " I have to just worry about my family," God says, " Love thy neighbor as you would love yourself."
It is a true story, and to those who voted in my poll, it turns out that 86% believed the story was true and it is. But who is Victoria? Well that and the ending is for the book.
" You will never know when you are in the company of an Angel"
- When Its Over
When a relationship is over, we do not know what will happen along the way. God said he will not forsake us or does he? Based on real life experiences this may make you recapture what you believe. - When Its Over: Victoria Gets Her Wings
Gathering her thoughts, Victoria glanced in the mirror one last time and calmly walked from the bathroom to the bedroom.... Often she felt a higher power watching over her.....

Very inspirational. Well done. Voting UP!
I had the pleasure of reading the two parts you published and they were so inspiring. I am a sucker for stories of faith. Good luck with the book and I know it will be a success.
Inspires me to do more for others. Up and Beautiful
I know God answers prayers, sometimes in the darkest hours. The book sounds wonderful.God Bless.
the story it self is very sad and showed you how some times your family would turn their back for you while a complete stranger could help you this is always the difference between human natures. therefore you don't really know how is truly by your side expect for God because he created you he will always be by your side. moreover the story remind me of the movie the pursuit of happiness. thanks for sharing this and voted up
Very touchy. Thanks.
What struck me was the establishment of a web site to collect for a need that you see. I get a picture of the "Little Dutch Boy" stopping the hole in the dike with his finger. What if you see a thousand holes? If you can be responsible to carry that help in a bucket that doesn't leak . . . that is true worship. Put me down for the web site, please.
I can empathize with Victoria because I am in a similar position, waiting on God for a breakthrough.
God is true to his word he's testing our faith to see how much we trust him, not for his knowledge but for our own. It is in these times we are made aware of our strength, not of our own strength but the strength God empower us with.
The lesson is to learn to trust God as our only SOURCE and he will make the way without a doubt. Just like King David I am encouraging myself and praising God as I walk through the valley, knowing with all assurances that God will take me out and up to the mountain top-Praise be to God my heavenly Father-ABBA.
I encourage Victoria to continue to keep the faith because God do not do things halfway, you will come out victoriously and I declare your book will be a number one seller in Jesus name.
No matter what, what we always climb from the rubble. Interesting enough when we lean on HIm there are many blessings to help us along the way and we grow stronger and wiser on the journey. Love what you have put together here dear friend... a gift you are sharing with us all.
Blessings and Hugs
A wonderful story with so much heart warming and deep thoughts. Thank you.

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Yes, god DOES listen and act. I've been through quite a lot, and He's always been there. I've got a hub called "God .. Two Reasons I Believe In Him" I'm not trying to promote but I do want to share.
This was awesome. Thank you.
